Hace unos meses en una conversación mantenida con una de las personas que me acompañó en aquel proyecto en 2007 sobre la necesidad o no de poner de nuevo en marcha el certamen de cortos de terror Narciso Ibáñez Menta, y junto a la consulta realizada en Madrid con una persona cercana a Chicho, su hijo, decidí que podría haber llegado el momento de volver a retomar la iniciativa, y coger de nuevo el testigo de aquellos años de recuerdos inolvidables.
Es por ello que he comenzado a sacar del baúl de los recuerdos fotografías que no han visto nunca la luz y que es bueno que vayan aireándose, ciertamente son la antesala de lo que se pretende hacer, espero que con la ayuda de muchos.
Son otros tiempos y parece que la crisis desmedida que nos obligo a no plantearnos la continuidad de aquel proyecto ha pasado ya y hoy podemos, con casi 11 años de diferencia retomar el camino. La figura de Narciso Ibáñez Menta se lo merece y con él los cientos de actores de terror que han malvivido a la sombra de lo que siempre se ha considerado un genero menor. Menuda memez.
Se, de fuentes cercanas, que la productora de Chicho está preparando nuevas propuestas que de seguro nos enriquecerán a todos. Y aunque el Certamen de Cortos de terror Narciso Ibáñez Menta es independiente, espero contar al menos con el beneplácito de dicha empresa, no es en balde que fuera Chicho quien me autorizó para que pudiera ponerlo en marcha. Siempre estuve, he estado y estaré agradecido a su persona, me concedió la oportunidad de ser realizador suyo en TVE y de aprender con sus propuestas.
Por lo tanto la noticia es que espero muy pronto poder comenzar a dar buenas noticias sobre las propuestas para que podáis participar en el próximo certamen de cortos de terror Narciso Ibáñez Menta.

El terror es una manera elegante de afrontar todos esos miedos que nos atenazan y desde un punto de vista lúdico de enfrentarnos a ello.
